My team and I have been working on humanoid robotics towards the implementation of high performance and versatile 24/7 humanoid robot systems able to predict, perceive and understand in order to act, interact and collaborate with humans in the real world.
The major topics of the group are:
-
Mechanoinformatics of humanoid robots
- Humanoid grasping and dexterous manipulation
- Learning from human observation
- Active perception (vision and haptics)
- Visuo-haptic exploration
- Modeling of the human body and human motion analysis
For more details see Humanoids Group at KIT.
An overview on current research activities can be found also on the CD "Humanoids@KIT, which
was presented on the Colloquium Humanoids@Home on the occasion of the 60th birthday of Prof. Rüdiger Dillmann.
The research on humanoid robotics in Karlsruhe within the
Collaborative Research Center on Humanoid Robots (SFB 588)
was featured d on DFG Science TV. Have a look at the humanoid robot ARMAR-III !!!
